We are looking for an organized and experienced storekeeper – shipping/receiving to assist with purchasing, shipping and receiving tasks and inventory management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchasing
-
Supports purchaser with all sourcing activities

Help maintain assigned purchase orders from the initial order through receipt and invoice processing

Obtains quotes and verifies the accuracy of the information received to place orders

Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to the items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers

Enters and maintains data in the ERP system

Return of merchandise to supplier
Shipping and Receiving
-
Determine the method of shipping and arrange the shipping, including; preparing the bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, toxic substances and other shipping documents, either manually or by computer.

Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.

Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods

Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas

Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems

May operate forklift
-
Obtain and monitor status of shipments
Inventory
-
Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures
-
Examine levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortage
PROFILE
-
College Diploma (DEC) in logistics, operations management, production management or finance; or any other relevant background.

Three years of relevant experience
-
Bilingual is an asset
-
Experience with an ERP system
-
Ability to work as part of a team, to communicate with all levels of the organization and to adapt quickly to change;

Solid analytical skills and the ability to quickly make sound decisions based on experience and judgment, even when you have incomplete information and/or are under pressure;

Ability to manage multiple priorities and cooperate with others to achieve the final result
