We are looking for an organized and experienced storekeeper – shipping/receiving to assist with purchasing, shipping and receiving tasks and inventory management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

   Purchasing

  • Supports purchaser with all sourcing activities

  • Help maintain assigned purchase orders from the initial order through receipt and invoice processing

  • Obtains quotes and verifies the accuracy of the information received to place orders

  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to the items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers

  • Enters and maintains data in the ERP system

  • Return of merchandise to supplier

   Shipping and Receiving

  • Determine the method of shipping and arrange the shipping, including; preparing the bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, toxic substances and other shipping documents, either manually or by computer.

  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.

  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods

  • Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas

  • Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems

  • May operate forklift

  • Obtain and monitor status of shipments

   Inventory

  • Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures

  • Examine levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortage

PROFILE

  • College Diploma (DEC) in logistics, operations management, production management or finance; or any other relevant background.

  • Three years of relevant experience

  • Bilingual is an asset

  • Experience with an ERP system

  • Ability to work as part of a team, to communicate with all levels of the organization and to adapt quickly to change;

  • Solid analytical skills and the ability to quickly make sound decisions based on experience and judgment, even when you have incomplete information and/or are under pressure;

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and cooperate with others to achieve the final result
